We shall exhibit at Kyoto (Kansai) Sustainability Exhibition in Brooklyn

Atelier Kyoto Nishijin is an original brand of women's goods using Kyoto's traditional Nishijin weaving technique.

The traditional craftwork, which has been reborn in a modern style that can be worn with both Japanese and Western clothes, offers a new and unprecedented form of Nishijin weaving, while incorporating Japanese taste into everyday fashion.

We will exhibit at Kyoto (Kansai) Sustainable Exhibition in Brooklyn from November 15, 2022.

Kyoto (Kansai) Sustainable Exhibition is a joint project by Brooklyn Beauty/Fashion Labo and SunnyPlace & Kyomasa, aiming to revitalize the Kyoto (Kansai) craftsmanship and sustainable market, and to introduce them to the world.

The project includes an online gallery in English and Japanese,

a 2-month exhibition at a showroom in Brooklyn, USA (November 15, 2022 to January 10, 2023),

a 2-month exhibition and sales at a pop-up space in Kyoto, Japan (December 2022 to January 15, 2023),

a showroom in Beppu, Japan, and a media EC. It will also be exhibited & sold at Media EC (from November 15, 2022 to May 2023).

Since we live in Kyoto, we will not be able to visit New York this time, but we hope that those of you who are in the area will come and visit us. We think this is a good opportunity for you to see and touch our products, which are usually only sold on the web.

【What is Brooklyn/Beauty Fashion Labo?】

Brooklyn Beauty/Fashion Labo is a Brooklyn-based (Park Slope) fashion lab launched in the winter of 2015, featuring companies, artists, and designers working in one of four concepts. It is a curated selection of local products from Brooklyn that are earth and future friendly, and develops a platform for collaboration that transcends racial, ethnic, and corporate boundaries.

(1) Local production for local consumption rooted in the community

(2) Value quality and resources over quantity

(3) Earth-friendly, future-friendly

(4) New initiatives and mutual aid

Companies and artists based on these four concepts are participating. We, Atelier Kyoto Nishijin, are probably (1) and (2).

I am very concerned about Japan's lack of energy these days, but as a member of the "Love JAPAN Project," I would like to help boost Japan.

Thank you for your support.
