The silk yarns we usually use are thin and easy to strike into the fabric, making it relatively easy to create a heavy fabric, but not so easy to create a light and fluffy texture.

Since I was planning to make a bag that could be carried casually, I decided to use a nep yarn after much trial and error because I thought that using a stiff fabric would not suit my image.

*Silk nep: The yarn is spun in such a way that there are knots in places, making the fabric fluffy and light. The knots on the surface look like hairballs, but they are not defective. Please understand that it is a characteristic of the product.

We have also added a melange texture to the fabric to give it a modern look. We believe this gives the fabric a more three-dimensional feel.

It may be hard to tell from the picture, but it really feels like wool to the touch, and the soft, lightweight finish is a unique characteristic.

It also does not have the unique snagging of animal hair fibers, so it is a fabric that is difficult to explain: it is silk, but it is wool-like.

The fabric is additionally treated with a water-repellent finish, making it stain-resistant and safe for sudden rainfall.

*It is not waterproof, and the water repellent effect is not permanent.

The company is a member of the Nishijin Textile Industry Association and has a traditional craftsman in its staff, so the high quality of its techniques is well known.

It is probably one of the best in Japan.

You don't want it to be heavy even if you don't put anything in it, do you? I personally don't like to carry a bag on my shoulder because if it is not lightweight, my shoulder will get sore soon.
